New York City has everything. When I first moved here, I was a bit skeptical, but now I’m falling in love with the city. I still have a lot of exploring to do but in the meanwhile, I can tell you of a few places that are worth it.
This is my Part 2 of New York City local eats.
Read about Part 1 here.
Spring weather is FINALLY here so might as well go on an adventure and explore the area while you’re at it
1) Dear Irving
Where? Union Square Park, Manhattan
Details: 55 Irving Pl
A place for drinks.
Lovely. Lovely. Lovely.
I had the best time here. I recommend going with a small group of friends or on a double date.
The atmosphere is light, sexy, sultry and vibrant.
2) Tavern on Jane
Where? Greenwich Village, Manhattan
Details: 31 Eighth Avenue
3) Kesté
Where? Soho, Manhattan
Details: 271 Bleecker Street
D E L I C I O U S Neapolitan style pizza.
Kesté has been featured on popular magazines from Vogue Italia to Time magazine.
This is the real deal guys. No Joke.
Thank you to the ladies from Diners Code who highly suggested it.
4) Tartine
Where? West Village, Manhattan
Details: 253 W 11th St
CASH ONLY
UGH, this place is everything. I love it so much. Come for brunch. There will be a line. No reservations.
This place is BYOB! So, this is what you’re going to do, bring along some fine champagne, order some orange juice, and boom! Enjoy this adorable little French bistro (which is known as a West Village institution).
5) Black Iron Burger
Where? Manhattan
Details: (3 locations) Midtown, East or 7th ave
My mouth was still watering when we were leaving the restaurant. These burgers are incredible and they are all natural, lifetime antibiotic and hormones free burgers.
6) Vin Sur Vingt
Where? West Village, Manhattan
Details: 201 West 11th Street
This French wine bar makes my heart sing. A girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place by accident and I’m so happy we did.
7) Magnolia’s Bakery
Where? Manhattan
Details: 401 Bleecker St
Classic. Banana pudding is a must but their cupcakes are delightful as well.
Until my next adventure.
See you soon, Gab 😉
