New York City has a bit of everything. I still have a lot of exploring to do but in the meanwhile I can tell you of a few places that are definitely worth it.
This is my Part 1 of New York City local eats.
These spots are all over New York so might as well go on an adventure and explore the area while you’re at it 😉
Hope you and your taste buds enjoy.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving filled with jaw-dropping food!
1) Cafe Glechik
Where? Brooklyn, Sheepshead Bay
Details: 1655 Sheepshead Bay Rd
This place has real authentic Ukrainian food!
I am half Ukrainian, my dad lives in Kyiv and most of my Ukrainian family lives throughout New York. I KNOW good vareniki and pelmeni when I eat them.
Trust me, seriously it’s delicious! If you do not take my word for it, they have been featured on the Travel Channel and The New York Times.
2) Madman Espresso
Where? Manhattan, Hells Kitchen
Details: 336 W 37th Street (8th & 9th Avenue)
They have a few locations around Manhattan.
I really like this place because they have quality coffee and that truly makes me happy.
I can not stand for crappy coffee. #Standforgreatcoffee
3) Due Fratelli Pizza
Where? Queens, Forest Hills
Details: 101-16 Queens Blvd
This is a simple pizza joint but it’s so good! If you are in the Forest Hills area GOOOOO!!!!!
You’re welcome.
4) The City Bakery
Where? Manhattan, Next to 5th Avenue
Details: 3 West 18th Street
A friend introduced me to this cozy bakery and it is well known for their famous hot chocolate so I had to have a sip.
I had a shot of their famous hot chocolate and a slice of pumpkin pie.
It was all super good and put me into the holiday spirit.
5) BareBurger
Where? Everywhere in New York City
I like to come here and treat myself. The burgers are so juicy <3
One more very worthy shout out to Katz Delicatessen !
Where? Manhattan, Lower East Side
Details: 205 East Houston Street (corner of Ludlow St)
This is a classic. This isn’t local. It’s uber touristy but you gotta do it and have an orgasm while you’re at it.
Until my next adventure.
See you soon, Gab 😉
